HOW DONATIONS WORK + FAQ's

Why did you switch to donations only?

Due to recent changes in housing policy and a report that brought my business activity to their attention, I received a notice that I am no longer permitted to sell on base. While this was unexpected, I’ve chosen to adapt by shifting to a donation-based model. This allows me to continue sharing my food that the community has come to love, while remaining respectful of the new guidelines.

How do donations work?

An “open menu” will be available, and supporters can offer a donation in exchange for the items they’d like to receive. There are suggested donation amounts  to help guide you, but ultimately, it’s up to you. This model is designed to keep things accessible while still honoring the time, care, and ingredients behind every dish. While it's a scary thought for my business to not have set "pricing", I trust that the community around me will be honest and generous!

Is this legal?

Yes—operating under a donation-based model aligns with current regulations. I’ve taken the necessary steps to ensure everything remains above board while still allowing me to share my food with friends in the community.

Curious how I found the rules and regulations? Luckily, the housing office included them on the notice! Check it out: DAF32-6000. More information can be found in AFMAN 48-147, if you're looking to do something similar!

How can I support you beyond donations?

Share the word, tag your friends, leave a kind comment, or even just send a message of encouragement—it all makes a difference. You're also supporting the other local spouses who help me run everything, which means the WORLD to us!
